Christian Brethren Ministries (CBM) is a Christian non profit organization based in Eburru, Kenya, founded in 2006 by Pastor Steve Njenga and his wife Mary. CBM aims to improve the lives of the people of Eburru through education, healthcare and nutrition. Their work is founded on the principles of love and compassion reflected in Jesus’ words in the book of Matthew.

Short Story about CBM:

Camp Brethren was founded by Pr. Steve Njenga (former Chaplain AIC Kijabe Hospital) together with his wife Mary (former OR manager Kijabe Hospital) after they came to Eburru in 2004 with a missionary team from Kijabe hospital and saw the poverty in the community which left them really disturbed and always thinking about the people of Eburru. It is then they decided to leave their comfortable life in Kijabe and spent most of their money and time (Weekends) trying to help the people of Eburru. And this way Camp brethren was born... In January 2009, a short-term mission team from Northern Virginia who served as missionaries came and fell in love with the people in the remote African village of Eburru, Kenya. After observing the hopeless cycle of poverty and malnutrition first hand, the team returned home determined to do what they could to help.
